We’re excited to say that this week saw some of the CommuniTech team feature on Wandsworth Radio. We really want to thank Julia Bright for this amazing opportunity. After meeting Julia at one of our sessions, she invited us to feature on Wandsworth Tonight, and we jumped at the chance to promote our Tech and Tea sessions and let people know a little more about us.

For those that don’t know, CommuniTech run a monthly ‘Tech and Tea’ event, where you can drop in to ask a quick tech question or help someone in your community with their tech queries.
Matt and Seb are two of CommuniTech’s co-founders, students at Imperial College London, who were involved in setting up the scheme with the rest of the team: Sofie, Andrew and Joe. They were both really excited to see the inner workings of Wandsworth Radio on Friday.
If you’re looking for some help with Tech, please come along and meet our amazing group of volunteers. We’ll try to help out with anything from uploading images on Facebook to using apps on your smartphone or tablet. We organise our events into ‘tech zones’ so you can meet a volunteer who is best suited to answer any of your queries.
For anyone who wants an informal way to volunteer, Tech and Tea is a great opportunity to come and help someone in your community. We encourage anyone to come along to help out, whether you have advanced tech skills or just have one specialist subject. We don’t expect you to know everything, our volunteers often learn new things at our sessions too!
We don’t claim to be able to solve every problem that you may have, but we promise we’ll do our best! At the very least you can still meet some new people who live in your area over a cup of tea and a biscuit.
If you missed the show or want to listen again, please click here and slide the blue progress bar at the bottom of the page to 19:30 where our segment begins.
Thanks again to Wandsworth Radio for inviting us to be part of Wandworth Tonight.
